mali parke 2016

Mali Parke is grateful and excited to be part of the Hosting and Program team of Family HEART Camp West Virginia since 2013. Family HEART Camp has been an annual highlight for herself and her two kids since 2009 and has profoundly enriched their summers!

She also delights in co-organizing One Big Circle weekends with the Peace Circle and Family HEART Camp communities since 2011 so we keep camp alive all year round in the DC area.

In her daily life, Mali finds deep aliveness and purpose in serving individuals, families, educators and youths in connecting from their hearts, speaking their empowered voices, hearing others with empathy, increasing restorative possibilities to (re)connect through conflict and holding a vision of community with "all included and cared for." She is a constant learner of many practices that supports inner healing, social change, peace and nonviolence. Mali splits her time between her private Empowerment and Restorative Coaching practice and Restorative DC, a SchoolTalk project that brings restorative practices to DCPS schools, bring her experience of RJ/RP, Positive Discipline, Empowerment Coaching, Family & Systemic Constellations and NVC. Mali is a certification candidate with the Center for Nonviolent Communication and offers year-round workshops on NVC as part of Capital NVC. You can read more about Mali’s work at and
