Camp Unirondack

Lowville, NY

Co-Hosts: Steve Andersen &

Jan McCracken

We regret to share that FHC New York 2017 has been cancelled as of June 15. We did not receive enough registrations to produce a viable camp. We hope to offer camp next year!

Unirondack boathouse and kayaks

FHC New York is offered at a Unitarian Universalist Camp and Conference Center located in the forever wild forests of the Western Adirondack Mountains. Unirondack features several newly renovated buildings, including a performing arts pavilion, recording studio, and boathouse/artshop adjacent to beautiful Beaver Lake. The camp is complete with comfortable indoor and outdoor spaces for reading, contemplating, conversing, recreation, and simply enjoying nature in a beautiful and rustic setting.

Meals are provided by lively and dedicated staff at Unirondack who strive to offer locally sourced food where possible, with options for vegetarians, vegans, and omnivores.

To learn more about Unirondack, please visit their website, also linked on the New York Resources menu.

Please also take a moment to read our Camp Unirondack Venue Agreements before you register. As part of the registration process, we will be asking you to agree to follow them.

The Perlman Retreat Center is situated in a tranquil forest on 350 acres. This serene retreat is surrounded by another 600 acres of woodlands and open prairies, including a living bog and Kettle Moraines. You would never guess you are only 30 minutes from Milwaukee and just 2 hours from Chicago!

Families will lodge in their own spacious dormitory-style room, each with its own attached bath. Food will be provided by Perlman Center's own chef, who will serve us delicious, nourishing meals in the private dining room.

Though Perlman Retreat Center is home to Nature's Classroom Institute, the renowned environmental education program, we will have this peaceful oasis to ourselves for the week. There are indoor and outdoor program spaces, several fire rings and abundant outdoor recreation opportunities. Enjoy hiking on the retreat center's trails, hanging out at the pool or challenge yourself with the climbing walls or ropes course.

You can learn more about the Perlman Retreat Center by visiting the website listed in the Wisconsin Resources menu.
